Team Falcons defeated Gaimin Gladiators in the DreamLeague Season 23 Grand Finals to win their fourth major tournament of the year. For this victory, the team received $300,000 in prize money and 6,000 EPT rating points to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2024. However, their invitation to the tournament was guaranteed even before it began.

We will remind that Team Falcons this year became the winners of BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024, and also took 2nd place at the Elite League and 3rd place at PGL Wallachia Season 1.

The final meeting was completely one-sided, as the Falcons defeated one of the best teams of last season with a score of 3:0. The Team Falcons lineup confidently dominated the battlefield on all three maps in a row, leaving opponents no chance for a different outcome.

The first map lasted just 28 minutes, which is too fast for the current objective, so it was an easy win for the Falcons. The next two maps were more grand final worthy, but Gladiators still played as the number two and kept trying to get back into the game. They could only hold on for 43 and 45 minutes respectively, which did not help them avoid defeat by the tournament champions.

It was a good opportunity for Gaimin Gladiators to return to the top of the Dota 2 world considering their last season. It looked especially promising after they beat the Falcons in the top bracket final. However, as the grand final showed, it was just a coincidence. At this point, it's not clear who can stop this machine when they play a full lineup.

Team Falcons lineup:

  • Oliver "Skiter" Lepko

  • Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak

  • Ammar “ATF” Assaf

  • Andreas “Cr1t-” Frank Nielsen

  • Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu

  • Curtis "Aui_2000" Daniel Ling (trainer)
