Team Spirit defeated Xtreme Gaming in the grand finals of the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Dota 2 tournament. The game ended with a score of 3:2, where the winners showed endurance and the ability to play until the end.
Xtreme Gaming won the first map, but Team Spirit quickly tied the series. On the third map, despite Team Spirit's initial advantage, Xtreme Gaming managed to turn the tide in the final minutes and win. However, this did not break the two-time world champions: Spirit entered the last two maps in perfect form and secured the series victory.
It is worth noting that on average each map lasted more than 40 minutes, so the grand final was quite long. For Xtreme Gaming, it was not only the first defeat at the tournament, but also the first lost map, because the Chinese team ended all games, starting from the group stage, "dry".
We will remind that after the victory at The International 2023 , the Team Spirit team showed terrible results and could not even qualify for some tournaments, such as DreamLeague Season 23 , but after the victory at PGL Wallachia, Myroslav " Mira " Kolpakov noted that this is the starting point for team, after which they plan to dominate the competition again
The PGL Wallachia Season 1 tournament took place from May 10 to 19 in Romania, where teams from all over the world raffled off a total prize pool of one million dollars. For the victory, Team Spirit received $300,000, and Xtreme Gaming earned $175,000 for second place.
Team Spirit's championship lineup:
