Group stage
- Fifteen qualified teams and the winner of the DOTA Summit 11 tournament are participating in the tournament.
- Participants of the tournament are divided into 4 groups in GSL format
- All matches are played in Bo3 format.
- The two best teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs
- Teams in last places are eliminated from the tournament.
Playoff stage
- Tournament bracket with a second chance
- Only the last three days will be held in front of a live audience
- The first round of the lower bracket is played in the Bo1 format.
- All matches, except for the Grand Final, are played in the Bo3 format.
- The Grand Final is played in a Bo5 format
