Tournament format
- Fifteen participating teams as qualified through regional qualifiers: three teams from Europe, China and North America and two teams each from the CIS, Southeast Asia and South America
- The latter team qualified as OGA Dota Pit Minor champions
Group stage
- Sixteen teams are divided into four groups of four teams each
- The top two teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs
- The two worst teams advance to the bottom bracket of the playoffs
Main stage
- Sixteen teams play in a second-chance bracket, which is a tournament system in which a participant is eliminated from the tournament after two losses
- Eight teams start in the upper grid, eight in the lower grid
- Lower Bracket Round 1 - Bo1, Grand Final - Bo5, All other games - Bo3
- The final four game days are played in front of a live audience
