More about the team Natus Vincere
The first team of the Ukrainian e-sports organization Natus Vincere was assembled back in 2010, today it includes several teams working in different directions, one of which is Dota 2. It should be noted that the Dota 2 team has become a real legend not only in Ukrainian , but also of world eSports, having collected many solid titles during its long history of existence - from the champion of the largest tournament The International 2011, to multiple victories at the famous StarLadder and Electronic Sports World Cup competitions. Of course, these are far from all the achievements of the team and, as experts predict, new grandiose achievements are waiting for it in the near future.
History
The name of the Natus Vincere organization comes from Latin and translated into Ukrainian means "Born to win" .
Initially, the composition of the Dota 2 roster was formed from members of another popular team in the CIS - DTS. Its powerful team contributed to serious successes: the victory in the main tournament of the year in 2011, as well as reaching its finals in 2012 and 2013 made Na'Vi not only the leading team of Ukrainian eSports, but also one of the most respected and dangerous opponents on the world stage arena of Dota 2 competitions. Despite the changes that take place every year on the eSports scene, Natus Vincere remains one of the most competitive teams in Ukraine and the world, which regularly participates in high-level international tournaments.
In the following years, the boys did not manage to achieve any significant results, the reasons for which were the exit of several strong players from the so-called "golden" team, in particular Artur "Goblak" Kostenko and Bohdan "Axypa" Boychuk, as well as problems with finding an experienced and a coach ready to lead the team forward.
In 2015, a new era in the team's activities began - in Na'Vi, there were constant changes not only in players, but also in coaches: the founders of the team were looking for the best of the best who would be able to present new significant victories. However, it was not possible to realize this dream, and at the end of 2015, a decision was made to terminate the activities of the Dota 2 department. However, it was negatively evaluated by both investors and fans, so activities in the direction of Dota 2 were resumed, albeit with a new composition.
The years 2016-2020 are the time of constant rotations of players in Na'Vi, while both players who have proven themselves well during Major tournaments and young stars who have not yet had time to shine during the most important events in the team were invited to the team world of Dota 2 competitions.
In 2023, the team was not very active, taking part in only 100 matches, of which 52% ended in victory and another 6% were played in a draw, which is nevertheless a very good figure. The reason for the low interest in the competition was the disappointment of the loss in DPC EEU 2023 , which caused the transfer of the roster to the second division and the decision of three players to leave the team at once.
The composition of the team and its strategy
As of 2023, the team is coached by Ukrainian Vitaly Petkin (previously worked as an analyst at Team Spirit), and its members include players from Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The Natus Vincere: Dota 2 team is very talented and is not afraid to use creative solutions in the game, as well as give maximum freedom to each player. It is creativity that is an important factor contributing to Na'Vi's success. Among other elements of the team's strategy, one can distinguish a high level of coordination of the participants' actions during the competition, the use of mostly predictable tactics during most of the game, and, unexpectedly, interesting moves that disorient the opponent and force him to change his own strategy.
The team's resounding success is unfortunately a thing of the past, but who knows what exciting victories await Na'Vi, a team that has become a true legend, in the coming year?!
