After the close of the regional qualifiers for the Riyadh Masters 2024 tournament, all participants of the main event became known.
Southeast Asia (SEA)
The first to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2024 were the representatives of PSA — Aurora Gaming , who passed the regional qualifiers without a single defeat. They beat Talon Esports 2-0 in the upper bracket finals.
After this defeat, the Talons could not find the strength to take the second slot in the lower bracket. Blacklist Rivalry beat them 2-1 in the finals to secure a spot at Riyadh Masters 2024.
North America
The North American qualifiers were short, with only 4 teams participating and one slot being played. The winner was the nouns team, defeating Shopify Rebellion in the finals with a score of 3:2.
China
The Chinese region was the most fortunate - they were allocated as many as three slots in the main tournament. On the very first day of the qualifications, G2 x iG , who, by the way, were the main favorites, took their slot.
The second ticket was taken by LGD Gaming , beating Azure Ray with a score of 2:0. It was only a matter of time for Azure to get through as they managed to take the last slot in the lower grid. Both matches against Team Zero and KEV were tight and ended 2-1.
Eastern Europe
Virtus. pro became the owners of the only slot in the Eastern European qualification, beating Natus Vincere in the grand final. Both teams showed excellent performance throughout the qualifiers, but in the decisive match "Born to Win" did not have enough and they lost the final to VP in a landslide.
Western Europe
The best team of the Western European qualifiers was Entity , which easily reached the finals, where it met Team Secret . Only on the first map did they encounter resistance: Klement " Puppey " Ivanov's team was able to take the lead after 73 minutes of play. However, the next two maps were controlled by Entity, who pulled out a 2-1 victory.
Team Secret looked like they could clinch a second trip to Riyadh, but were beaten 2-0 by MOUZ in the lower bracket finals to advance to their second consecutive major tournament.
MENA
In the Middle East region , PSG Quest were the undisputed leader among the four participants. Although there was a little alarm bell when they lost the first map in the grand final against Nigma Galaxy , they quickly recovered after that to take three maps in a row and earn a ticket to Riyadh Masters 2024.
South America
Given the difference in time zones, the last places were taken by representatives of South America. As expected, one of the two slots went to the Heroic team, who did not lose a single map during the entire qualification.
But the second slot, relatively unexpectedly, went to beastcoast , which recently did not show positive results. After losing the upper bracket final to Heroic, they managed to beat BOOM Esports in the lower bracket 2-1 to advance to Riyadh Masters 2024
